THE SCOTS HIGHLAND COMPANY

In 1921, our society wanted to memorialise its members who had died serving in World War I. Consequently, we established the Fourth Halifax Highland Scout Troop, as a kilted Troop in 1922 as a living memorial.

The troop functioned under the auspices of Scouts Canada until 2001. From 2002 to 2007, it operated independently as the Scots Highland Company.

In 2008 the Society reorganized the Scots Highland Company as a Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, “The Scots Highland Company 848 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps”.

The Corps serves boys and girls aged 12 to 18 and meets weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9 PM at the Dartmouth East Community Centre, 50 Caledonia Road in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
